The Undomestic Goddess

This is an article for all the people who love to read English literature. So I’m going to tell you a little bit about the book “The Undomestic Goddess”. I think it is mostly for ladies but boys will have fun too, by reading it.

The story is about a woman in her late twenties who is working so much that she hasn’t any time for herself. Samantha is a high-powered lawyer in London working all days to become a partner at her company Carter Spink. That’s her highest aim and passion. Just a quick time before reaching it; Sam makes a huge uncontrollable mistake which she can’t remove. The beginning of a disaster. There isn’t any choice to get out of it thus Samantha refuges. After getting away on some train she finds herself in the middle of nowhere. Asking for help she knocks on the next door. But then there is a big confusion and Sam accidentally applies for housekeeper. So what is a lawyer doing as housekeeper if she can’t clean and cook? Samantha struggles with total chaos andwhen she is at the end of one’s rope she gets help from the gardener Nathaniel. He is a very nice guy and offers Sam cooking and cleaning classes by his mother. Meanwhile her carrier at Carter Spink is over, she can’t come back and all her friends and her family have abandoned her.

But Samantha does not really care, she is very happy with her new life without stress but much free time and Nathaniel.

But there is one problem: He hates lawyer.

If it comes to the crunch she has to make a decision. Will she tell him the truth or will she leave and get back into her old life as a lawyer?
